Hyundai Motors India Limited has posted its sales report for May 2021. The South Korean carmaker registered a total domestic sales of 42,293 units with export sales of 8,970 units. The cumulative sales figure for the given period stood at 51,263 units. Hyundai mentioned that both its manufacturing facility had observed the scheduled biannual maintenance shut down. This led to no production for 6 days in the month, i.e. 16th May to 21st May, which resulted in a halt in vehicle production. Thus, affecting the May sales volume, including both domestic sales and exports. Hyundai confirmed that the production will return to its full capacity starting from June.

Hyundai is looking to launch the Venue facelift very soon. Recently the carmaker revealed the exterior design of the SUV. As per the latest news, Hyundai will launch the Venue facelift on 16th June 2022. The big change is in the design of the car. At the front, the noticeable upgrade is the Dark Chrome front grille. The bumper is now more rectangular in design, thus giving it a fresh outlook. On the side, the changes are minimal, although we will see a new set of alloys. We will also get to see first-in-segment Connecting LED tail lamps as well. Being a Hyundai, Venue will not run out of features, and thus we expect more tech with the facelift update.
With the i20 N-Line making a positive impression, Hyundai seems to prepare the Creta for a similar treatment. As per the latest reports, Hyundai might launch the Creta N-Line for the Indian market very soon. Spy shots of a test mule have already made it onto the internet. Initially, Creta N-Line will be made available for the South American market. Although, we expect Hyundai to bring in the model for the Indian market as well.
Upon close scrutiny of the spy shots, we see a much wider front grille with a thicker horizontal chrome insert at the top. We can also see some differences in the side cladding. There’s also the twin double-barrel exhaust pipe similar to the one we see in the i20 N Line.
