Tata.ev, the EV subsidiary of Tata Motors, has taken a major step toward expanding India’s EV charging infrastructure with the launch of 10 high-speed MegaChargers across key highways. This initiative, developed in collaboration with ChargeZone and Statiq, aims to eliminate range anxiety and make long-distance EV travel more convenient.
Strategic locations and charging capabilities
The newly installed MegaChargers are strategically placed along high-traffic routes, including:
- Mumbai–Ahmedabad Highway – Three chargers at Vadodara, Vapi, and Ghodbunder, spaced 150-200 km apart.
- Delhi–Jaipur Highway – Four chargers at Gurugram, Kaprivas, Hamzapur, and Shahpura, positioned every 60 km.
- Pune–Nashik Highway – A 120 kW charger at Rajgurunagar, ensuring efficient intercity travel.
- Bengaluru’s Electronic City – A MegaCharger at Monk Mansion, catering to urban professionals.
- Udaipur City – A 120 kW charger at Ramee Royal Resort, offering premium amenities for tourists.
The flagship 400 kW charger at Shreenath Food Hub in Vadodara can charge up to six EVs simultaneously, delivering 150 km of range in just 15 minutes.
