Volkswagen India has posted its sales report for the first half of 2022, i.e. January to June 2022. The carmaker posted a total sales of 21,588 units for the given period. The sales for the same period last year were 10,843 units. This growth in the sales figure indicates customers’ overwhelming love for VW India. VW India is making a strong comeback with a new identity and an updated product line. The India 2.0 cars, namely Virtus and Taigun, have received positive feedback, as proved by their sales volume. Given the industry challenges that are impacting the supply chain, the sales volume is on the rise. Thus, all these trends indicate a very successful 2022 for VW India.
VW India Expanding Its Network
With the increase in demand, VW India is preparing itself to reach more new regions. This will further help to cater to the demand and expand its customer base. As of now, VW has a sales network of 152 sales touch points and 120 service facilities, covering a total of 114 cities. The current network covers more than 80 per cent of India’s geography. To further extend support, VW has also launched several initiatives under the Sarvottam 2.0 program. As a part of this, the brand is accessible across its interfaces through the customer journey.
VW has always been the brand that speaks of sophisticated German-engineered driving machines. All these, along with global standards of build quality, safety and providing a fun-to-drive experience, make VW the perfect choice for car enthusiasts. The Virtus, a sedan offering amidst the sea of SUVs, is a very bold move. The car has already made an emphatic start with over 2,500 units delivered since the day of the Indian global launch. There is a high chance the Virtus, along with its sister offering Slavia, might revive the dying sedan segment in the country.
