Hyundai Alcazar gets new Prestige Executive base variant

Hyundai created a buzz with its Creta SUV in the Indian market. After launching the updated version of the Creta SUV, the South Korean brand also introduced a 7-seater SUV, the Alcazar. The popular SUV comes with a starting price of INR 16,44,400 ex-showroom. Now, reports suggest that the brand is planning to launch a new base variant of the Alcazar to lure more customers into the highly popular 7-seater segment.

Hyundai Alcazar Prestige Executive – New Base Variant

Media reports suggest that the Hyundai Alcazar could get a new Prestige Executive base variant. The new base variant with a 7-seater capacity is likely to be positioned below the Prestige 7-seater, which comes with an ex-showroom price of INR 16.44 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. With the launch of the Prestige Executive variant, Hyundai is likely to see a boost in sales of the Alcazar.

Hyundai Alcazar Prestige Executive – Expected Price

Furthermore, reports suggest that in the new Prestige Executive trim, the Alcazar is likely to come with a price tag of INR 15.89 lakh ex-showroom. This means the base variant of the car will be INR 55,000 cheaper than the current base variant. Prices on the other models are likely to remain the same.

Hyundai Alcazar Prestige Executive – Omission of Equipment

The lower price comes with the deletion of equipment as well. Sources report that the Alcazar in the Prestige Executive trim will not come with a 10.25-inch infotainment screen. Instead, the brand is likely to supply an 8-inch infotainment system. The Connected features are also likely to miss out on the Prestige Executive. In addition to this, Hyundai will also delete the SOS button from the IRVM. Instead, the brand is likely to offer a manually dimmable IRVM. Apart from this, the outside dark chrome handles will likely come in body colour.

Hyundai Alcazar – Engine Specifications

The Hyundai Alcazar Prestige Executive is likely to come with the same petrol and diesel engine options. Powering the Alcazar is a 2.0-litre MPi petrol engine that produces 158 Bhp of power and 191 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The other option is a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel CRDi engine that produces 113 Bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque. The oil motor also comes with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
