Hyundai has expanded the Exter compact crossover lineup in India with the addition of two new trim levels. The new variants offer advanced comfort and convenience features at affordable pricing.

Hyundai Exter new variants prices
Hyundai has added two new trims to the Exter: S Smart and SX Smart. The new trim options are available with manual, automatic, and CNG powertrain and drivetrain combinations. The prices for these new variants are as follows:

Hyundai Exter S Smart variant details
The S Smart trim is available from a starting price of Rs 7.69 lakh (ex-showroom). This new trim is based on the S variant, but it features an electric sunroof, new LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, a tyre pressure monitoring system, 15-inch steel wheels, and rear AC vents.
Earlier, the electric sunroof was available on the S+ variant, which was priced at Rs 7.93 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai Exter SX Smart variant details
Based on the SX trim, a new SX Smart variant has been added as well. It is equipped with features like keyless entry, a start/stop push button, projector headlights, LED tail lamps, leather upholstery, a sharkfin antenna, and a rear parking camera.
Both models, the S Smart and SX Smart, get an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. However, customers can also opt for a new 9-inch screen along with an integrated rear parking camera at just Rs 14,999.
It can be installed on any of the variants. Moreover, Hyundai is offering a 3-year warranty on the new OEM accessories. The Exter also gets ISOFIX rear seats as standard now.

Our verdict
The Hyundai Exter is the entry-level SUV in the Korean carmaker’s lineup. It is a spacious car, which competes with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Tata Tiago. The new variants offer better value for money for the Exter as they are equipped with advanced features.
