Maruti Suzuki has launched the S-CNG variant of the Swift hatchback in India at INR 7.77 lakh ex-showroom. Since its launch, Maruti Suzuki has sold over 26 lakh units of the Swift hatchback. The Swift’s driving experience, global styling, performance and cult fan following meant the Swift created a league of its own.
The Swift S-CNG is the 9th model in Maruti Suzuki’s CNG portfolio, further strengthening its commitment to a cleaner and greener environment. With the latest addition, Maruti Suzuki’s S-CNG range consists of – Alto, WagonR, Celerio, Dzire, Eeco, Ertiga, Super Carry, Tour-S and now the Swift. The Indo-Japanese brand has sold over 1 million S-CNG vehicles so far. The popular Swift hatchback’s S-CNG version will further boost sales.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG – Variants & Pricing
Maruti Suzuki will offer the S-CNG version of the Swift hatchback in two variants – VXi and ZXi. Pricing for the 2022 Swift S-CNG starts at INR 7,77,000 ex-showroom for the VXi variant. At the same time, the ZXi variant will come with a sticker price of INR 8,45,000 ex-showroom.
In addition, customers can also buy the 2022 Swift S-CNG through Maruti Suzuki Subscribe at an all-inclusive monthly subscription fee starting from INR 16,499. The Maruti Suzuki Subscribe lets customers use the car without actually owning it. The monthly subscription fee includes the cost of registration, service & maintenance, insurance as well as roadside assistance.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG – Technical Specifications
Powering the 2022 Swift S-CNG will be a K-series 1.2-litre Dual Jet Dual VVT engine. When in petrol mode, the engine makes 89.73 PS of peak power at 6,000 rpm while the peak torque figure stands at 113 Nm at 4,400 rpm. Meanwhile, when in CNG mode, it produces 77.49 PS of peak power at 6,000 rpm and 98.5 Nm of peak torque at 4,300 rpm. Thus, this makes it the most powerful CNG hatchback in the country. Furthermore, Maruti Suzuki claims it offers a fuel efficiency of 30.90 km/kg. This also makes it the most fuel-efficient CNG premium hatchback in India. Maruti Suzuki also says it specifically tuned the Swift S-CNG’s powertrain and suspension to offer better durability, mileage and safety.
