MG Motor India has achieved a remarkable milestone with the Windsor PRO, securing 8,000 bookings within just 24 hours of opening reservations. The overwhelming response underscores the growing demand for premium electric vehicles in India.

What makes the Windsor PRO stand out?

The Windsor PRO is an upgraded version of the standard Windsor EV, featuring a larger 52.9 kWh battery pack that delivers a certified range of 449 km. The EV is powered by a 136 PS electric motor, producing 200 Nm of torque, ensuring a smooth and efficient driving experience.

MG has equipped the Windsor PRO with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), offering 12 key safety features, including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and forward collision avoidance.

Pricing and availability

Initially launched at an introductory price of INR 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the Windsor PRO’s pricing has now been revised to INR 18.09 lakh after the first 8,000 bookings. MG also offers a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, allowing customers to purchase the EV at INR 13.09 lakh, with an additional INR 4.5/km battery usage charge.

New features and design updates

The Windsor PRO introduces Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) capabilities, allowing owners to power external devices or charge other EVs. The EV also features a powered tailgate, along with three new exterior color options—Celadon Blue, Aurora Silver, and Glaze Red.
