2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 bookings open in India

Written by Rohit Tonapi

Maruti Suzuki India has announced the opening of bookings for the upcoming all-new Alto K10 hatchback. With the new Alto, Maruti Suzuki wants to re-energize the country’s hatchback segment. The brand claims its latest hatchback will come with a host of comfort, safety, convenience and connectivity features.

Interested customers can now pre-book the all-new Alto K10 with an initial payment of INR 11,000. They can book the car at any of the Maruti Suzuki ARENA showrooms or by logging on to the official Maruti Suzuki website. Furthermore, customers can also call Maruti Suzuki’s toll-free number to learn more about the all-new Alto K10.

The All-New Alto K10 – What Do We Know?

The all-new Alto K10 will be much larger than the previous model. From previous type-approval leaks, we know that it will be 85mm longer and 45mm taller, while the wheelbase will be 20mm longer. The increase in size is a direct result of the brand using the HEARTECT platform, which also underpins the S-Presso. Maruti Suzuki will offer the all-new Alto K10 in 12 variants and 6 colour options.

Powering the all-new Alto K10 will be a K10 1.0-litre DualJet engine that delivers 67 HP and 89 Nm. Gearbox options will consist of a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Maruti Suzuki recently introduced the same engine with the 2022 S-Presso. Although the S-Presso also gets an auto start/stop tech, the Alto K10 could skip this to keep costs in check.

Maruti Suzuki Alto In India

The Alto brand currently has over 4.32 million customers in India. Furthermore, with a strong brand legacy of over 20 years, the Alto brand has become a symbol of trust, pride and reliability. The Alto is also one of the most successful products from Maruti Suzuki. The company says it is confident that the all-new Alto K10, together with the Alto 800, will bring the joy of mobility to many more customers in the country.
