2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto fully revealed via leaked pictures, launch soon

Ahead of its official launch on 18th August 2022, the all-new Alto K10 has fully leaked online. Before this, a type-approval document leak also let us know about the new hatchback’s variants, dimensions and powertrain options. It is also confirmed that the brand will sell the new Alto K10 alongside the Alto 800.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto Fully Revealed Via Leaked Pictures – What Do We See?

We have already seen the rear-end of the car through spy shots during a TVC. And now we get to see the front of the car as well. The Alto K10 will be much bigger than the previous model. The 2022 Alto K10 will be 85 mm longer and 45 mm taller and get an increased wheelbase of 20 mm. The leaked pictures also show the colour options available. Maruti Suzuki will offer the 2022 Alto K10 in a total of 6 colour options. These are – Silky Silver, Solid White, Granite Grey, Sizzling Red, Earth Gold and Speedy Blue. 

On the inside, the 2022 Alto K10 will get a new dashboard design, new upholstery and a new instrument cluster. Top-spec variants of the 2022 Alto K10 will also get a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features will include electrically-adjustable ORVMs, front power windows, dual airbags and steering-mounted controls. 

2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 – What Do We Know?

The Indo-Japanese brand will offer the 2022 Alto K10 in a total of 12 variants. These include 8 manual and 4 automatic variants. The manual variants are – STD, STD (O), LXi, LXi (O), VXi, VXi (O), VXi+ & VXi+ (O). Meanwhile, the 4 automatic variants are – VXi, VXi (O), VXi+ and the VXi+ (O). 

Powering the new Alto K10 will be the same engine as the recently introduced 2022 S-Presso. The 1.0-litre K10C DualJet mill makes 67 HP of power and a peak torque of 89 Nm. Gearbox options will include a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT. Like the 2022 S-Presso, Maruti Suzuki could also equip it with start/stop technology. Additionally, the brand could also offer a CNG option.
