Harley-Davidson has officially introduced the Fat Boy Gray Ghost, a limited-edition model that pays tribute to the legendary Fat Boy, which debuted in 1990. This special edition is part of Harley’s Icons Motorcycle Collection, featuring exclusive styling, premium finishes, and modern technology.

Design and features

The Gray Ghost edition stands out with its Reflection finish, achieved using Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD). This process gives the bike a chrome-like appearance, making it look as if it was machined from solid metal.

Harley-Davidson has also added yellow accents on the rocker covers, powertrain components, and tank console insert, paying homage to the original 1990 Fat Boy. The leather seat valance with lacing and tassels, along with a black leather tank strap, reinforces its heritage-inspired styling.

Engine and performance

Powering the Fat Boy Gray Ghost is the Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-twin engine, producing 101 bhp at 4,800 rpm and 165 Nm at 3,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox, ensuring strong torque delivery and effortless cruising.

The bike features three ride modes—Road, Rain, and Sport, along with cruise control, cornering ABS, traction control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Limited production and pricing

Harley-Davidson will produce only 1,990 units of the cruiser, honoring the debut year of the original Fat Boy. The special edition is priced at $25,399 (approx. INR 22 lakh in India, excluding duties).

Market position and availability

The Fat Boy Gray Ghost is part of Harley’s Icons Collection, which features serialized motorcycles with unique design elements. While global deliveries will begin soon, Harley-Davidson has not yet confirmed India allocations.
