Buying a second-hand car can be a terrible experience. It can even be an expensive one if you’re looking to buy a used supercar and things go wrong. However, there’s some good news for people in the market for a W16-powered Bugatti. This is because Bugatti has become the latest supercar brand to start selling certified pre-owned cars.
Certified pre-owned car programs are not new to the automobile industry. Automakers use such programs to assure their customers that they are buying a used car that still offers near brand-new quality.
Bugatti’s Certified Pre-Owned Program – Details
This new certified pre-owned program is an ideal option for those in the market looking for a used Bugatti. The French brand will include the Veyron and the Chiron under this program. Buggati says that the models eligible for the program will have incomparable quality, as expected from a Bugatti.
As a part of this program, the pre-owned models will include a 1-year warranty plan. Bugatti says this warranty will be as comprehensive as the original warranty on new Bugattis. Thus, it will cover all parts and labour for electrical, mechanical, corrosion or paint issues.
However, the warranty cover for the Veyron is less generous. For the Veyron, it covers all the parts and labour for mechanical and electrical repairs only. Thus, compared to the warranty cover for the Chiron, it misses out on corrosion and paint issue coverage.
In addition to this, buyers of certified pre-owned Bugattis will also receive a free annual service. However, this needs to be performed within one year from the date of purchase. The warranty is also valid worldwide. Thus, further adding to the peace of mind for the buyers.
All authorised Bugatti dealerships can sell pre-owned cars. Hence, the program will include a wide selection of cars to choose from. There is, however, no word on how Bugatti decides if a car is eligible to join the certified pre-owned program.
