Ducati’s latest Multistrada V4, the sporty adventure motorcycle now gets more adventurous and sporty as Slovenian brand Akrapovic has introduced two new exhaust systems for the Ducati Multistrada V4. The co-branded accessories come in two iterations a type-approved exhaust made by Ducati and Akrapovic and a racing exhaust unit.
The Racing exhaust unit is made from stainless steel with a titanium outer sleeve and a carbon fibre end cap. The racing exhaust system keeps the weight to the minimum helping the engine extract all its power through dedicated mapping that adjusts all the electronic parameters to match the exhaust. With the new exhaust system, the weight of the motorcycle is reduced by 5 kgs and the maximum power output is enhanced by 4 hp and the peak torque is now 133 Nm which is 8 Nm more than the factory exhaust system.
The type-approved system provides more character to the motorcycle. The exhaust system is a result of the technical partnership between Ducati and Akrapovic and features specially developed high-grade titanium alloy and carbon fibre cap that not only provides lightness but also give a motorcycle an aggressive look. The new exhaust system also offers high resistance hot temperatures and comes with a race-style honeycomb mesh in the end cap further enhancing its looks.
The new type-approved system is 0.7 kg lighter than the standard and comes as a standard fitment with the Multistrada V4 S Sport. The racing exhaust unit and the type-approved silencer can be purchased at all Ducati Dealerships or through the brand’s online sales channel. The type-approved exhaust is priced approximately USD 1,700 MSRP and the racing exhaust system is priced at USD 3,200 MSRP.
The fourth-generation Multistrada with the new V4 engine is also expected to go on sale in the Indian market and the brand is also expected to bring the range of accessories to the Indian market.
