Honda has introduced the Elevate Apex Summer Edition, a limited-run variant of its popular mid-size SUV. Priced at INR 12.39 lakh (ex-showroom) for the manual variant and INR 13.59 lakh for the CVT version, this special edition offers premium features at a lower price compared to the standard V trim.

Design and features

The Apex Summer Edition sports a dual-tone Ivory and Black interior, complemented by leatherette seat upholstery, door trims, and seat cushions. Honda has also added ambient lighting, enhancing the cabin’s premium feel.

One of the biggest upgrades is the larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the 8-inch unit from the standard V trim. The new system now supports a 360-degree camera, a first for any Honda vehicle currently on sale.

On the exterior, the Apex Summer Edition features piano black and chrome accents, along with Apex Edition badges on the fenders and trunk.

Powertrain and performance

Under the hood, the Elevate Apex Summer Edition retains the 1.5L, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 119 bhp and 145 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed CVT, ensuring a smooth driving experience.

Market position and rivals

The Elevate Apex Summer Edition competes with Hyundai Creta, Tata Curvv, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. With its premium features and competitive pricing, Honda aims to attract more buyers in the mid-size SUV segment.

Availability and pricing

Honda has confirmed that the Apex Summer Edition will be available for a limited period, with bookings already open across dealerships. The introductory pricing makes it INR 32,000 cheaper than the standard V trim, offering better value for money.
