Skoda has launched the new 2021 refreshed Skoda Superb which comes with a new modern design, updated interior features and claims to offer a value for money proposition at the price starting at INR 31.99 lakh ex-showroom, India. The 2021 Skoda Superb is offered in two variants – the Sportline & the fully loaded Laurin & Klement (L&K). The Skoda Superb Sportline is priced at INR 31.99 lakh ex-showroom while the Laurin & Klement is priced at INR 34.99 lakh ex-showroom.
The Skoda Superb features new adaptive LED headlamps with swivel and cornering function. The cluster also incorporates LED turn indicators, illuminated LED eyelashes, coming home/ leaving function, all built in a sleek design and comes as a standard part of the pack. The front LED fog lamps are also designed with athletic inspiration and house four diodes that illuminate the area, especially in low lighting conditions.
The Adaptive Headlamp feature also offers optimum illumination of the surroundings. The adaptive function comes with a variable geometry that enables the headlamps to respond in the change of speed, light, weather conditions etc. The adaptive front lighting system also features driving modes – city, inter-city, motorway, and rain.
On the interiors, the Superb features piano black trim which contrasts with the beige or coffee brown upholstery of the Laurin & Klement. The Superb also comes with chrome highlights on the inside. The 2021 model also comes with the new-generation twin-spoke steering wheel with controls with paddle shifts. The Skoda Superb now also comes with Virtual Cockpit – digital instrument cluster with data and navigation.
The Skoda Superb on the inside features a new 20.32-cm floating touchscreen infotainment display with a glass design and proximity sensor. The brand has also updated the user interface and comes with a new in-built navigation system. The new infotainment is part of the Amundsen infotainment system developed by Skoda. The system also features SmartLink technology with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and mirror link connectivity. The Superb also comes with wireless smartphone charging and new Type-C USB ports. Also on offer, is the new 360-degree Surround Area View, which comes with four cameras as well as Park Assist function.
2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine that produces 190 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque coupled to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The brand currently, does not offer a diesel powertrain.
