Toyota has launched the new Fortuner Legender 4×4 in the Indian market. The brand has put on a sticker price of INR 42.33 lakh ex-showroom on the latest off-road friendly variant. With the new four-wheel-drive variant launch, the brand now has two trims on the Legender – a 2WD and 4WD. Both are available with a diesel engine and automatic transmission.

The Toyota Legender made its debut in the Indian market at the beginning of 2021. Alongside the Legender, the brand also launched the new Fortuner, which is one of the must-have SUVs in the segment. While the Toyota Fortuner targets all the needs of the luxury SUV aficionados, the Legender is uniquely positioned as “Powered in Style”. The Legender will help cater to the needs of those seeking performance as well as luxury. The Toyota Legender also offers a four-wheel-drivetrain which also caters to the diverse needs of adventure enthusiasts.
Toyota Legender 4×4 – Design and Features
The Toyota Legender comes with an imposing design language with Catamaran elements. The brand offers the SUV only in a Dual-Tone Color of Pearl White with a Black Roof. The front fascia also comes with an imposing radiator grille flanked by Split Quad LEDs and Waterfall LED Line Guide. The Toyota Legender comes with Catamaran Style Front and Rear Bumpers and 18-inch Multi-layered Machine Cut Alloy wheels.
Toyota Legender 4×4 – Engine Specifications
Powering the Toyota Legender is a 2.8-litre four-cylinder in-line diesel engine. The 16-valve DOHC engine comes with a Variable Nozzle Turbocharger with an Intercooler that produces 204 PS of power and 500 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 6-speed Automatic transmission and Automatic Idling Stop/Start Function.
Toyota Legender 4×4 – Off-Road Functions
The Toyota Legender 4×4 comes with off-road features such as a rugged frame with high torsional and bending rigidity. The SUV features an approach angle of 0.51 rad and a departure angle of 0.44. The Legender features 4WD with High (H4) and Low (L4) Range as well as a Lockable Differential. The car also comes with A-TRC (Active Traction Control), DAC (Downhill Assist Control), and Auto-Limited Slip Differential.
