Tata Motors has announced that the Tigor EV will come with an INR 11.99 lakh ex-showroom starting price tag. The brand is offering the car with the new Ziptron technology. This will help Tata accelerate toward the electric mobility segment with the new electric sedan. The brand is currently leading the electric vehicle segment with a 70% market share, and the new all-electric sedan is here to democratise electric mobility offerings in India.
Tata Tigor EV – Variants, Warranty and Price
Tata is offering the Tigor EV in three variant options – Tigor EV XE, Tigor EV XM and Tigor EV XZ+. The brand also offers the electric sedan in Dual Tone colour option with Signature Teal Blue and Daytona Grey. The car also comes with an 8 year and 160,000 km battery and motor warranty. The battery pack also complies with AIS – 048 standards for nail penetration at cell Level, offering hassle-free use.

Tata Tigor EV – Powertrain
Powering the Tata Tigor EV is a peak power output of 55 kW and a peak torque of 170 Nm. The electric motor draws power from a 26-kWh liquid-cooled, high energy density battery pack. The battery pack features an IP67 rating for ingress protection and protection from the weather. Apart from the above-mentioned nail penetration protection, the battery pack also comes with a Rear Crash suited structure for additional protection.
Tata Tigor EV – Battery Charging & Range
Also, customers can charge the battery using the globally acceptable CCS2 charging protocol. The battery also supports fast chargers and is also capable of slow-charging from any 15 A plug point. The car can recharge from 0-80% in just one hour at the fast charging station. Also, the charging can take place at home and takes approximately 8.5 hours to charge from 0% to 80% capacity. The battery is capable of returning a range of 306 km on a single charge certified by the ARAI.

The Tata Tigor EV comes with features such as Global NCAP four-star certification. The car is based on the Tata Tigor/Tiago and comes with a proven platform with Rear Crash compatible structure. The sedan also comes with ODB 64 test standards. The Tigor EV also comes with safety features such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD and Corner Stability Control and Hill ascent assist & Hill descent assist.

Tata Tigor EV comes with a 7-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system with 4 speakers and 4 tweeters. The brand claims that the infotainment system is best-in-class in terms of connectivity and infotainment, thanks to the iRA connected car suite with 30+ features. It comes with remote commands, intrusion alert, remote cooling, charging status, time to full charge and remote diagnostics.
