Volkswagen Golf GTI – All units booked within 5 days!
Not long ago, Volkswagen announced the introduction of its worldwide famous hot hatchback, the Golf GTI, in India. The car is destined to be launched as a CBU model in May 2025 itself.
Before the launch, the company commenced online bookings for it on May 5. Interestingly, the booking system included a quiz where the participants needed to score at least 4 out of 5 points.
Now, within the first few days, the first designated batch of the 150 allocated units has been completely booked. However, customers are eligible for the cancellation of their bookings after the price announcement.
The main reason behind the hype of the Golf GTI is its extremely well-engineered chassis and the raspy 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine combination.
Volkswagen will bring the Euro-spec model to India, which makes 265 bhp and will be paired with the 7-speed DSG gearbox.
This engine is globally known for its tuning potential, as tuners have pumped up its peak power more than 500 bhp globally.
The German car company will officially announce the price of the Golf GTI in May 2025. Due to the CBU import duties, we expect it to be positioned between Rs 55 lakh to Rs 60 lakh.
