Tata Motors announces a price hike effective from 8th May 2021. The company mentioned that this price hike is a result of the increase in the prices of input commodities. But Tata Motors confirmed that it will offer protection to the customers who booked their cars before 7th May. This price hike will be applicable for the customers who make new bookings starting from 8th May. On average, the company mentioned that all the models and trims will now become 1.8 per cent dearer. Taking the current uncertain situation in mind, Tata Motors launched ‘Business Agility Plan’. This is a comprehensive initiative that aims to protect the interest of the customers, suppliers and dealers in this lockdown. Upcoming Micro-SUV From Tata Motors Now, it looks almost certain that Tata Motors will soon launch a new product. The concept car was first showcased in Auto Expo 2020. Codenamed ‘HBX’, this vehicle will slot in the micro-SUV segment. Tata Motor’s ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) platform will underpin the Tata HBX. This is a new platform developed by the brand which made its debut with the Altroz. The concept car’s physical dimension stands at 3,840 mm in length, 1,822 mm in width and 1,635 mm in height. Recently, leaked images of the car’s interiors floated on the internet. It looks like HBX will house a floating island-like touchscreen similar to what is found in the Altroz. Tata Motors’ Sales Figure Picking Up After a long wait, Tata Motors is finally coming back to life. With some exciting recent launches like the Safari, Altroz and more, Tata Motors is registering a healthy sales figure. For the FY 2020-2021, the carmaker stood at third position in the overall sales of passenger vehicle category. The brand is particularly spearheading the electric vehicle segment in India with its Nexon EV. This car is the country’s best selling electric vehicle which sold 4,000 units in just 14 months. Upcoming new launches like the electric version of the Altroz and Tigor will further boost the sales figure for Tata Motors.
