Hyundai continues testing the next-generation Venue, with fresh spy shots revealing design updates and new tech features. The SUV, which was first spotted in South Korea, has now been seen on Indian roads, confirming its near-production status.
Design and exterior updates
The next-gen Venue adopts a boxier profile, similar to Hyundai’s latest Creta and Alcazar models. The front fascia features split LED headlamps, redesigned DRLs, and a fresh grille pattern.
One of the biggest upgrades is the radar module on the lower grille, confirming the inclusion of Level-2 ADAS features. The SUV also gets front parking sensors, a chunkier body cladding, and dual-tone alloy wheels.
At the rear, the Venue will sport sleeker LED taillights connected via an LED light bar, along with a more aggressive bumper design.
Interior and features
While interior images are yet to surface, reports suggest the Venue will receive a new dashboard layout, featuring connected 10.25-inch screens for infotainment and instrumentation.
Other expected upgrades include:
- Panoramic sunroof (a first for the Venue).
- Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
- Ventilated front seats.
- Ambient lighting and premium upholstery.
Powertrain and performance
Hyundai will retain its existing engine lineup, including:
- 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol (83 PS, 113.8 Nm).
- 1.5L diesel (116 PS, 250 Nm).
- 1.0L turbo-petrol (120 PS, 172 Nm).
Transmission options will include 5-speed MT, 6-speed MT, and 7-speed DCT, depending on the variant.
Market position and expected pricing
The next-gen Venue will continue to rival the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV3XO, and Skoda Klyaq. Given the feature additions, Hyundai is expected to increase the pricing slightly, with the base model starting around INR 8 lakh (ex-showroom).
Expected launch timeline
Hyundai is likely to launch the next-gen Venue during the festive season of 2025, possibly around July or August.
