Skoda has taken a bold step into the world of two-wheelers with the unveiling of the Slavia B electric bike concept. This futuristic cafe racer pays homage to the original Slavia B motorcycle, which was introduced in 1899 under the Laurin & Klement brand—Skoda’s predecessor.

A Tribute to the OG Slavia B

The Slavia B concept is a modern reinterpretation of Skoda’s first motorcycle. While the original model featured a 240cc air-cooled engine, producing 1.75 hp with a top speed of 40 km/h, the new concept embraces electric mobility while retaining classic design cues.

Slavia B design and features

The Slavia B concept stands out with its floating Laurin & Klement logo, a nod to the brand’s legacy. The frame mimics the original Slavia B, but instead of housing an engine, it remains hollow, reinforcing its futuristic appeal. The bike features USD front forks, a low-set handlebar, large alloy wheels with rectangular spokes, and slick tyres.

Adding to its vintage charm, the concept incorporates brown leather elements, including a leather seat, tool bag, and grips for the handlebar and foot pegs. The illuminated Skoda logo at the front, along with a sharp LED headlamp and DRLs, gives it a contemporary touch.

Will the Slavia B enter production?

Despite its striking design, the Slavia B electric bike concept is unlikely to make it to production. Skoda has positioned it as a one-off tribute to its motorcycle heritage rather than a commercially viable model. The concept was developed by French designer Romain Bucaille, using advanced 3D modeling tools that Skoda employs for its car designs.
