Skoda has officially unveiled the Enyaq RS, a high-performance version of its popular electric SUV. The RS variant brings sportier styling, increased power output, and a larger battery, making it the most exciting Enyaq yet.

Performance and powertrain

The Enyaq RS is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, producing 340 hp, a significant jump from the 286 hp AWD version of the standard Enyaq Coupe. This power boost allows the RS model to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, making it 1.3 seconds quicker than its standard counterpart.

The SUV is equipped with an 84 kWh battery pack, replacing the 63 kWh and 82 kWh units found in the standard models. Skoda claims a WLTP range of 562 km for the Enyaq RS, while the Coupe version offers 568 km on a single charge.

Charging and efficiency

The Enyaq RS supports 185 kW DC fast charging, allowing a 10-80% charge in just 26 minutes. An 11 kW AC charger takes 8 hours for a full charge, making overnight charging convenient.

Interestingly, the RS models have slightly higher drag coefficients—0.251 for the Enyaq RS and 0.239 for the Coupe RS—compared to their standard versions, making them marginally less aerodynamically efficient.

Exterior and interior upgrades

The Enyaq RS features blacked-out elements, including Skoda and RS badges, window trims, mirrors, and winglets on the redesigned front bumper. The SUV rides on 20-inch alloy wheels, with optional 21-inch wheels available.

Inside, buyers can choose between two interior themes:

  • RS Lounge – Suedia microfiber and faux leather with lime green contrast stitching.
  • RS Suite – Leather and faux leather upholstery with grey stitching and piping.

Both versions come with RS-spec sports seats with integrated headrests, a three-spoke steering wheel, and a massage function for the driver’s seat.

Market position and rivals

The Skoda Enyaq RS competes with high-performance electric SUVs like the Tesla Model Y Performance and Ford Mustang Mach-E GT. With its aggressive styling and improved powertrain, Skoda aims to attract buyers looking for a sporty yet practical EV.
