Norton Motorcycles new single and twin-cylinder bike details
As per a latest online report, British cult motorcycle manufacturer, Norton, is developing new single-cylinder and twin-cylinder bikes for Indian launch.
The latest information leaked online, elaborating that the company sources have revealed developing a single-cylinder engine in the 400- 450cc segment and a twin-cylinder engine between 600- 650cc.
Norton, which is currently owned by the Chennai-based TVS, earlier confirmed that it will debut its product lineup in India by the end of this year.
Not long ago, the company’s plan to introduce six different motorcycles in India was revealed. Now, the latest information checks its authentication further.
The report further states that whether these engines will be liquid-cooled or not is still not confirmed. However, the smaller capacity models will get a bigger engine as compared to the 350cc rivals.
Norton’s direct competitor will be Royal Enfield, which currently owns more than 85% market share in the 250- 600cc segment.
Breaking the legacy of a cult motorcycle brand will be difficult, and Norton will first need to establish its brand image among the buyers.
