Porsche has introduced the second facelift of the popular Porsche Macan SUV. The brand has revised the Porsche Macan standard, Macan S, and the Macan GTS in this update. During the update, Porsche has revamped the entire cabin, added styling enhancements, and improved the performance of the SUV.
Porsche Macan – Exterior Updates
On the outside, the Macan comes with subtle styling updates such as a reshaped new grille and new LED headlamps that come as standard. The Macan also features larger alloy wheels with seven new designs. The alloy wheels range from 19-inch for the Macan standard, 20-inch for Macan S and 21-inches for the Macan GTS. The new Macan also comes with a new diffuser. In addition to this, the GTS model gets a bespoke rear diffuser as well.
Porsche Macan – Interior Updates
The Porsche Macan comes with a redesigned centre console drawing inspiration from the Porsche Panamera and Porsche Cayenne. The brand has deleted the row of buttons on the centre console, replacing them with a touch-sensitive control panel. The brand retains the 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Porsche Communication Management and voice command function. The new interiors are minimalist and clutter-free.
Porsche Macan – Engine Specifications
The new Macan engines are more powerful than before, leading to a reduction in 0-100 kmph. Powering the Porsche Macan is a newly developed, 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The engine makes 265 PS of power and propels the Macan from 0-100 kmph in just 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 232 kmph. The Macan S and the Macan GTS come with a 2.9-litre V6 Biturbo engine.
The Macan S is tuned to develop 380 PS of power, 20 PS more than before. The engine helps accelerate the Macan S from 0-100 kmph in just 4.6 seconds and achieve a top speed of 259 kmph. The Macan GTS, on the other hand, comes with 440 PS of power, 60 PS more than the predecessor. The GTS can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 4.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 272 kmph.
