Affected Vehicles Date Range
These affected vehicles were manufactured between the dates, October 27, 2016, to November 1, 2019. As mentioned, the recall is related to a suspected defect in the vacuum pump. This part assists the brake function of the vehicle. Maruti Suzuki also stated that in some cases, the affected vehicle might require increased effort in brake pedal application.
As a part of this recall, Maruti Suzuki authorised dealer workshops will contact the affected vehicle owners. They will arrange for free replacement of the problematic parts. The company has mentioned that this recall is precautionary and that no accidents or injuries have been reported so far.
