Jaguar Land Rover India has finally introduced its facelifted Jaguar XF for the Indian market with loads of significant updates. The 2021 facelifted XF sports a choice of either a petrol or a diesel engine with mild-hybrid capability. By introducing the new XF, Jaguar aims to compete with the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and the Audi A6. Jaguar has decided to discontinue the ‘Prestige’ variant of the XF and offer it in the top-spec ‘R-Dynamic S’ trim.
2021 Jaguar XF Facelift: Exterior Details and Price
Priced at INR 71.60 lakh ex-showroom, the XF’s new exterior updates include a large front grille with redesigned bumpers. The ‘R-Dynamic S’ trim of the XF sports an aggressive front fascia with revised air intakes and a wider stance. The radiator grille gets chrome studded elements and a wider mesh, along with larger vents on the front bumper.
Completing the front look are the new full-LED headlamps with integrated ‘Double J’ pattern daytime running lights. Jaguar offers new 18-inch Gloss Dark Grey alloy wheels along with new slim LED tail lamps on the new XF. Jaguar has not yet revealed the colour options on offer for the new facelifted XF.
2021 Jaguar XF Facelift: Interior Details
The interior of the facelifted XF sees a significant design change for the cabin for a refreshed look. Jaguar has ensured to offer brand new features, additional equipment, and driver-focussed controls for a tactile feel in the XF. The new interior dash sports an 11.4-inch curved-glass HD touchscreen infotainment system powered by Jaguar’s ‘Pivi Pro’ system.
Along with an infotainment system enabling Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, the XF sports a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. The XF’s cabin features a new Drive Selector with cricket ball stitching, increased storage spaces, and wider seats. Along with a new wireless phone charger, the new XF also sports a Cabin Air Ionizer with PM2.5 filtration.
2021 Jaguar XF Facelift: Engine and Powertrain Details
Powering the Jaguar XF are two Ingenium series engines. One with a petrol engine and another with diesel. The 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine puts out 250 PS of power and 430 Nm of torque. The engine comes with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. The XF can achieve 100 kmph in 6.9 seconds. The engine powers the rear wheels and allows the XF to reach a top speed of 250 kmph.
The 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine, on the other hand, produces 200 PS of power and 430 Nm of torque. Paired to the same 8-speed automatic gearbox, the engine features mild-hybrid technology for increased driving efficiency and mileage. The diesel-powered XF can achieve 100 kmph in 7.6 seconds and a top speed of 235 kmph.
