Deepal S07 and Changan E07 electric car details
The two showroom-ready cars were seen together, loaded on a truck, recently. Both models are owned by the Chinese carmaker Changan Automobiles, which is actively present in the international market, including Nepal.
Now, there is a high probability that these cars are headed towards Nepal, where the brand is already present. However, only two cars were spotted, indicating that the brand might be sending them for testing purposes.
Out of these two models, it is the Changan E07 which offers a unique mix of the practicality of a pickup truck and the stance of an SUV. It is equipped with a retractable trunk which can be used for commercial purposes due to its loading capacity of 300 kg.
Changan offers the E07 with a pure EV (701 km range) and an EREV 1.5-litre engine option in the global markets.
The Deepal S07, on the other hand, is a premium mid-size crossover that competes with the Hyundai Tucson and Volkswagen Tiguan. It is offered with similar powertrain options as the Changan E07.

Our verdict
Changan Automobile is not planning to debut in the Indian car market anytime soon. These models were probably headed to Nepal for testing or internal use. However, the growing EV market in India has created space for new EV makers, including Changan.
