Bounce Electric has announced that the brand has partnered with Readassist, Helloworld, Kitchens@ and Goodbox to expand its battery-swapping network. The brand has revealed that it plans to expand the battery swapping network to 900 new locations. Thanks to the new partnerships, the eco-system will be available in 10 cities across the country. Bounce is also financed by investors such as Accel India, Accel US, Sequoia Capital India, B Capital, Falcon Edge, Qualcomm, Chirate, Omidyar Network, Maverick Capital, etc., and has raised over USD 220 million.
The framework will allow the charging network to be available at diverse locations, including restaurants, cafes, co-living spaces, corporate offices, Kirana stores, etc. This new strategy will make Bounce electric chargers available. Customers will be able to find the nearest swapping station on their Bounce App. Recently, the brand also announced its partnership with Park+. Under the partnership, the company will set up over 3,500 battery swapping stations across ten cities in India.
Bounce Infinity
Bounce Electric has also revealed that the brand will be launching its first consumer electric scooter, the Bounce Infinity, on 2nd December 2021. The brand will offer the electric scooter with the ‘Battery as a service’ option, which is the first of its kind in the Indian market. The new battery-swapping station will have charged and ready-to-go batteries. This will allow customers to easily swap their spent batteries with fresh ones in under a minute. Thanks to the battery swapping station working similar to a fuel station reducing the range anxiety of the bike.
Bounce Battery Swapping Eco-System
In the next 24 months, Bounce Electric plans to aim to set up enough battery swapping stations within one kilometre of wherever its customers are located. This will help the brand build a robust battery swapping infrastructure that will support over a million scooters.
