The internal code “719” at BMW Motorrad always stood for high-quality special equipment. Now BMW Motorrad has revealed the Option 719 accessories for the BMW R18 and R18 Classic. The brand has also announced that the accessories will be available from September 2021. The new Option 719 accessories further enhance the possibilities of customizing the R 18 and R 18 Classic according to the customer’s preferences.
BMW Motorrad R 18 and R 18 Classic
In September 2020, BMW Motorrad launched the R 18, strengthening the brand’s Heritage Cruiser portfolio. In February 2021, the brand introduced the R 18 Classic iteration that features a large windshield, and a pillion seat LED auxiliary lamps, a 16-inch front wheel and saddlebags. The R 18 Classic reverberates with the classic American cruisers and tourer, but both models are rooted in the tradition of historic BMW motorcycles.
BMW R18 & R18 Classic Option 719 Design Package AERO
The BMW Motorrad Option 719 Design Package AERO comes with cylinder head covers on the left and right. The package also includes a front cover and the intake snorkel cover. The covers are made from aluminium sheet and feature a brushed, colourless anodized surface. The headcovers draw inspiration from the air vents nostalgic of the “streamliners” from the 1920s and 1930s era. The highlight badge is made from solid copper and plated in chrome, and a white finish with the “719” number finished in the vintage enamel.
BMW R18 & R18 Classic Option 719 Seat
The Option 719 Seat features two black upper materials combined to make a diamond-shaped quilted embossing. The seat also features embroidered BMW logo and the ‘719’ symbol on the side, making it exclusive. The Option 719 seat is available for both R 18 and R 18 Classic and comes with the standard seat height. The seat is also available with integrated seat heating.
BMW R18 & R18 Classic Option 719 Paint finish
The BMW Option 719 Paint Finish pack features Galaxy Dust metallic, which features a shimmering effect and violet to turquoise blue shade depending on the incidence of light. The paint option also features a Titanium Silver 2 metallic mirror on the fuel tank. BMW has applied a transition between two colour surfaces consisting of a hand-applied smoke effect. The theme draws inspiration from the R 90 S and features a classic white double line.
BMW R18 & R18 Classic Option 719 Alloy Wheels AERO and ICON
The brand is also offering two alloy wheel options called AERO and ICON. The alloy wheels come with matte silver and matt black, respectively. The alloy wheels feature a six-spoke design with ‘Contrast Cut’ machine finishes.
