Triumph has launched the new Speed T4 in the Indian market at the price of INR 2.17 lakh ex-showroom. The latest Speed T4 comes with a reworked engine and electronics as well as new colours. The brand has revealed that the new Speed T4 also now offers a riding character different that the Speed 400 and the brand reveals that the bike is made for those who want an easy riding character.
Triumph Speed T4 – What’s New?
The Speed T4 features a modern classic design adding to the Triumph 400cc model Classic family and also boasts relevant technology as well as relaxed riding dynamics. Thanks to the new engine dynamics the brand reveals that the Speed T4 is able to cruise effortlessly at 100 kmph. This will allow the rider to soak in the journey making it more relaxed. The Triumph Speed T4 is targeted towards customers who want a low to mid speed reliability along with fewer gear shifts. Thanks to this, riders who want to enjoy long distance touring and do not need high end power are likely to prefer the Speed T4 over the more spirited Speed 400 which has also been updated for 2025.
Powertrain
Powering the Speed T4 is the same 398cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that now produces 31 PS of power @ 7000 rpm and 36 Nm of torque @ 5000 rpm. The brand has revealed that the new engine tuning kicks in higher torque between the 3500-5500 power band which requires fewer gear shifts. Also the engine inertia has been increased by 30% which means the T4 is now more stable at lower rpms. The new engine tuning also brings with the a new deep exhaust note which will allow riders to cruise with ease. Also, the Speed T4 also comes with a manual throttle body control and a slipper clutch. The motorcycle also features 43 mm telescopic fork, dual channel ABS, and an instruments console with a USB port.
Colours
The Triumph Speed T4 will be available in 3 colour options – Pearl Metallic White, Cocktail Wine Red & Phantom Black.
