In a move to boost sales and make electric mobility more accessible, Ampere Electric, a subsidiary of Greaves Electric Mobility, has announced a substantial price reduction on its electric scooter models. The company has slashed the prices of its popular models, the Reo Li Plus and Magnus EX, by up to INR 10,000. The Magnus LT has also become more affordable with a price cut of INR 9,000.
Revised Prices
The revised prices of these electric scooters are as follows:
Reo Li Plus: Old Price – INR 69,900, New Price – INR 59,900
Magnus EX: Old Price – INR 1,04,900, New Price – INR 94,900
Magnus LT: Old Price – INR 93,900, New Price – INR 84,900
Nexus EX: Introductory Price – INR 1,09,000
Nexus ST: Introductory Price – INR 1,19,000
Scooter Specifications
The Reo Li Plus is an entry-level, low-speed e-scooter that doesn’t require registration and can be ridden without a license. It has a top speed of 25 kmph and a claimed battery range of over 70 km.
The Magnus LT and Magnus EX share the same design and features but differ in top speed and battery range. The LT can reach a top speed of around 45-50kmph, with the EX trim being slightly faster. The LT delivers a range of close to 80 km, while the EX can keep going for about 100 km on a single charge.
This move by Ampere Electric comes amidst rising competition in the EV space and aims to make their electric scooters more accessible to the public. The price reduction is expected to ramp up sales and attract more customers towards electric mobility.
