Harley-Davidson has revealed the 2021 new Sportster S in the American market. The motorcycle comes with a bulky and low squat design with chunky parts and dynamic acceleration using the new Revolution Max engine. The stout motorcycle will reach dealerships in the US by September this year and retail at ~USD 14,999 ex-showroom. Harley-Davidson in India has also listed the 2021 Harley-Davidson Sportster S on the official website and opened up the register interest tab. The brand is likely to retail the motorcycle in three colour options – Vivid Black, Midnight Crimson and Stone Washed White Pearl.
Harley-Davidson Sportster S – Engine Specifications
Powering the Sportster S is a Revolution Max 1250T 1252cc V-Twin cylinder engine. The engine comes with Chain-driven DOHC, a valvetrain with hydraulic self-adjusting lifters, and a VVT intake and exhaust valve distribution system. The engine features a Downdraft intake with tuned velocity stacks and Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI). The motorcycle comes with a 6-speed transmission and develops 121 Hp of power and 127 Nm of torque. The engine also does duty on the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 adventure motorcycle.
Harley-Davidson Sportster S – Mechanical Specifications
The Harley-Davidson Sportster S comes with high strength low alloy steel trellis frame with the engine as the stressed member. The frame comes with a stamped, cast, and forged junctions. The chassis also gets MIG welded aluminium forged mid-structure for added strength. The motorcycle rides on compression, rebound and spring preload-adjustable 43 mm upside-down fork on the front. On the rear, the Sportster S gets a linkage-mounted monoshock on the rear. Stopping power comes from radially mounted, monoblock, 4-piston calliper on the front and single-piston calliper on the rear.

The Harley-Davidson Sportster S comes with features such as All-LED headlamps, All-LED taillamps with signature tail lighting, and LED bullet turn indicators. The motorcycle also gets a 4-inch viewable area TFT display. This includes a speedometer, odometer, gear position indicator, ambient temp, low temp alert, phone pairing via Bluetooth to access phone calls, music, navigation etc. The bike also comes with a USB-C outlet to charge smartphones with ease.
