Aston Martin DBX707, the most powerful SUV to date, has officially set its foot in the world. The very first DBX707 customer car left the manufacturing facility on 9th May 2022 at St Athan, Wales. With orders coming from all across the globe, Aston Martin will ship the SUVs to more than 50 countries. The DBX707 represents the pinnacle of the luxury SUV segment with touches of dynamic and blistering performance and jaw-dropping style. To help with the production of this new SUV, Aston Martin has recruited more than 100 new skilled automotive technicians for its St Athan production plant in Wales. Aston Martin’s DBX is also the first Welsh-built production car for almost 50 years.
What Is The DBX707?
The 707 number might bring in some of the memories of James Bond, but there’s no connection in this case. 707 speaks of the 707HP output from the engine, which makes it the most powerful SUV in the world. Based on a platform that prioritises sporty feel and dynamics, DBX707 is quite different from the other options in this segment.
Powering the SUV is the AMG sourced 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that makes 707 HP and 900 Nm. The equipped gearbox is an AMG sourced wet-clutch 9-speed automatic. The rear differential and new exhaust system further attenuate the SUV’s sporty characteristics. Were you wondering about the 0 to 100 kmph timing? It’s under 3.3 seconds, making it blistering fast for an SUV. Come to the inside, and you will find more reasons to love the DBX707. The crowded centre console looks like a typical aircraft cockpit, donned in Aston Martin’s racing colours. Soft leather touches and hand stitching add to the luxury feel.
DBX707 – India Plans?
There’s no official news as of yet, but if Aston Martin plans to bring in the SUV, it will appeal to the customers. The expected price tag might hover around INR 4.50 crore (ex-showroom, India), thus making it quite attractive, given the performance on offer. And it is no secret that Indians love SUVs. Hence, DBX707 will have a long list of takers.
