Ferrari has released a teaser for an all-new naturally-aspirated V12 engine. The era of high-revving, naturally aspirated engines is coming close to an end. Manufacturers are adopting turbos, hybrids or full-electric setups for their cars. However, Ferrari is not just any car manufacturer. The company wants to use the naturally-aspirated V12s for as long as possible. The new naturally-aspirated V12 will debut on the company’s first-ever SUV – the Purosangue.

Ferrari’s New V12 Teaser Video

The teaser video says, “a new Ferrari is coming”, which will use the V12 engine. The company also tweeted, “Born without compromises, unmistakably Ferrari at heart”. Previous rumours hinted at Ferrari’s SUV using either a twin-turbo hybrid V8 from the SF90 or the new V6 from the 296 GTB. However, Ferrari’s new CEO did recently confirm that the Purosangue will use a V12. In addition to this, he said multiple options were tested, but only the V12 could provide the performance and driving experience they were looking for.

Ferrari Purosangue SUV

Ferrari recently released a teaser for the SUV. The first teaser of the SUV reveals a glimpse of the Purosangue’s front end. Now, with the new V12 teaser, we know what engine the new SUV will use. However, it remains unclear if Ferrari will offer any alternate powertrains. There is a possibility the brand may offer the hybrid V8 from the SF90 or the hybrid V6 from the 296 GTB. The unveiling of the new Italian SUV is expected in the near future. Hence, it won’t be long till all the details are out in the open.

When launched, the Ferrari Purosangue SUV will take on the growing range of high-performance SUVs such as the Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga, Range Rover Sport SVR, and the new Aston Martin DBX707.
