Volkswagen has revealed the new 2024 facelift of the T-Cross SUV in the international markets. The mid-cycle refresh brings with it a more subtle exterior, new interiors and dashboard layout, a larger touchscreen infotainment and a panoramic sunroof. In addition to this, the new T-Cross also gets ADAS enhancing its safety quotient.
The Volkswagen T-Cross shares the same underpinnings as the VW Taigun that is sold in India. It is being sold in the Brazilian market since 2019. In 2022, SAVWIPL also began exporting the Made in India T-Cross to the Mexican market expanding their global export footprint from India.
2024 Volkswagen T-Cross – New Features
In its new avatar, the Volkswagen T-Cross features new front and rear bumpers. The brand also offer a new LED headlamp and new details on the LED taillamps. In addition to this, the new T-Cross also comes with 17-inch alloy wheels. However, the majority of the changes are to the inside and the technology that VW is now offering with the T-Cross.
On the inside, the new T-Cross comes with a new dashboard including restyled AC vents. The car also comes with refreshed upholstery on the seats and a T-Cross motif. The infotainment screen is now a larger 10.1-inch unit and is centrally located. The infotainment screen also offers access to the climate control system. Top-spec trims also get power adjustable seats, soft touch material and a panoramic sunroof. Furthermore, the T-Cross also brings ADAS with this update and thanks to this, the SUV now gets features such as adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring.
Will VW Update the Taigun in India?
The VW T-Cross preceded in terms of launch as well as update in the international market. This could be an indication that the brand could also update the Taigun here in India, as both share the same platform. However, Volkswagen has still not revealed its plans to update the Taigun in our country.
