Reports on the internet suggest that majority of the used car buyers, up to 51% opt for petrol powered models while buying a used car.
The reports also mention that almost 84% of the searches for used cars are in the budge of Rs. 5 lakh or below.
The survey report reveals that majority of the buyers are looking for cars such as the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Maruti Suzuki Alto, Maruti Suzuki WagonR, Hyundai i10, Hyundai Santro, etc.
61% of used car buyers fall in the > Rs. 3 lakh price budget, 22.03% in the Rs. 3 -5 lakh budget, 9.32% in the Rs. 5 – 8 lakh budget, 2.24% in the Rs. 8 – 10 lakh budget, 2.02% in the Rs. 10 – 15 lakh budget and some people in the budget above.
Out of the cars searched for, 51.43% wanted petrol models, 40.84% wanted diesel models, 4.20% wanted CNG models, 3.51% wanted LPG moels and 0.02% looked for electric models.
