Tata is currently teasing the new Punch SUV through the brand’s social media channels. In the past, the Indian auto major revealed the front of the micro-SUV followed by the car’s rear. Now the brand has partially revealed the interiors of Punch. In the latest video, Tata reveals the dashboard of the Punch SUV, giving us a glimpse of what to expect when the micro-SUV launches in the near future.
Tata Punch – Interiors
On the inside, the Tata Punch SUV will come with a multilayered dashboard with an upright fascia. The dashboard comes with colour-matched AC vent trim and a dual-tone facia. The centre of the dashboard fascia features a light coloured applique, while the top and bottom are finished in black. The light white colour elements also feature on the door handles and door armrests.
The Punch will come with an island-like touchscreen infotainment system. The infotainment system is likely to come with Apple Carplay and Android Auto integration. The Tata Punch will also come with a control-mounted flat-bottomed steering wheel. The SUV will feature a digital-analogue instruments cluster which features a colour Multi-Information Display (MID). The car will come with manual air conditioning, featuring a rotary controller and push-buttons. Tata will also offer the Punch SUV with dual front airbags as standard, enhancing both driver and passenger safety.
Tata Punch – Exteriors
On the outside, the Tata Punch will come with sleek LED DRLs and chunky headlamps. The Tata Punch comes with the brand’s Impact 2.0 design language, which made its debut on the Tata Harrier SUV. Like the Harrier, the Punch will also come with a Humanity Line grille design and an X-shaped front bumper. The Punch also features a wide air-dam, trapezoidal wheel arches, door cladding, wraparound combination taillamps, and a broad backside. The car also comes with dual-tone exterior paint, and dual-tone machine cut alloy wheels.
Competition Check
The Tata Punch will rival the upcoming Citroen C3 in the Indian market, which made its World Debut recently in India. The French brand has revealed that the C3 SUV will compete in the sub-4-metre B segment hatchback space targeted towards the young generation. The Citroen C3 will be available for sale in India in the first half of 2022.
