Tata Motors made quite some noise at the Indian Auto Expo earlier this year. While they had multiple new products and concepts, the H5X SUV has become one of the most awaited car launch for 2018-19. While the car had been spotted testing multiple times on Indian streets, this new SUV finally has a name. Tata Motors has christened the H5X SUV as the ‘Tata Harrier’.
Tata Motors claims that the Harrier name denotes a beast with a massive stamina and strength gifted with exceptional instincts and can conquer whatever that comes in its way.
Tata Motors hasn’t revealed much beyond the name. We still rely on the spyshots and concept images to think about what the Tata Harrier will look like. Tata Motors claim that the Harrier will be built on a robust architecture and also, this SUV will be powerful along with being practical and comfortable.
The Tata Harrier will be the first car from Tata Motors to sport the ‘IMPACT Design 2.0’ philosophy. This will be a 5-seater monocoque SUV which will rival the likes of Hyundai Creta. The chassis, which the brand terms as ‘Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced’ a.k.a. OMEGA, is developed jointly with Jaguar Land Rover.
The brand has also revealed that the Tata Harrier will be launched in the first quarter of 2019.
