Tata Motors has introduced the Nexon CNG Dark Edition, priced between INR 12.70 lakh and INR 14.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variant is available in three trims: Creative+ S, Creative+ PS, and Fearless+ PS.
Nexon CNG Dark: What’s New?
The Nexon CNG Dark Edition boasts an all-black exterior, including a blacked-out front grille, alloy wheels, and skid plates. The interior follows the same theme with black leatherette upholstery, #Dark engraved on the headrests, and a piano-black finish on the centre console and door trims.
The model comes equipped with dual 10.25-inch screens for infotainment and instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless charger, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. Safety features include six airbags, a 360-degree camera, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Under the hood, the SUV is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. This engine delivers 100 hp of power and 170 Nm of torque when running on CNG. The SUV also features two CNG cylinders with a combined capacity of 60 litres. The Nexon CNG offers a claimed mileage of 17.44 km/kg.
Competitors
The only competitor to the Nexon CNG is the Maruti Suzuki Brezza S-CNG. The Brezza is equipped with a 1.5L engine that produces 102 hp and 136 Nm of torque. Prices start at INR 9.6 lakh. However, the Brezza does not get any special edition features like the Tata Nexon CNG Dark.
