Tesla is a brand known for its electrifying performance. Three years back, the brand introduced the 2nd generation Roadster and plans to put the car into production by 2022. But now sources suggest that the already fast Tesla Roadster is likely to get a SpaceX package. To the uninitiated, SpaceX is 'Space Exploration Technologies Corp.' founded by Tesla Inc owner, Elon Musk. The California-headquartered company delves into aerospace manufacturing and also space transportation. Tesla Roadster SpaceX Package Performance The Tesla Roadster is already renowned for its blistering 0-60 mph (96.6 km/h) time of just 1.9 seconds. But now, a picture of a plaque has emerged on the internet which claims that Tesla will outfit the Roadster with cold air rocket thrusters on the rear of the car. These rocket thrusters will allow an acceleration of 0-60 mph in just 1.1 seconds. Furthermore, the SpaceX package Tesla Roadster will be able to do more than 250 mph (402 kmph) and return a range of around 620 miles (998 km) on a single charge. The standard Tesla Roadster also claims to achieve a top speed of 250+ mph and a range of 620 miles on a single charge. The model will come with the same tri-motor configuration. The all-wheel-drive power unit produces a whopping 10,000 Nm of torque. Tesla could be planning to slow the rotation of the Earth with that twisting force. Anyways, it boasts of being "the first supercar to set every performance record and still fit seating for four." Will Tesla put the SpaceX Roadster into Production? We don't know yet. Tesla displayed the SpaceX package Roadster at the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles. The exterior and interior of the vehicle did not have any significant changes. Speculations are that Tesla is hiding the cold air rocket thrusters behind the number plate. However, the brand has not made any official claims or statements about the SpaceX Roadster. But, such technology and acceleration are unprecedented in modern cars, and we don't know if it's even legal.
