After a long struggle to cater for the mass market in India, Skoda finally has a winner on its hands. The newly introduced Kylaq is witnessing a strong demand as its waiting period reaches up to 5 months.

Skoda Kylaq waiting period details

As per an online report, the Kylaq compact SUV is consistently growing in the tight C-SUV segment. Skoda managed to sell more than 5,000 units of the Kylaq in March 2025 itself, which took the total sales for the month above 7,000 units.

Now, as per the company, the Classic base variant of the Kylaq has reached a waiting time of up to 5 months. Additionally, the top-end Prestige variant is also in good demand as its waiting time has extended up to 2 months.

Meanwhile, the mid-spec trims Signature and Signature+ are currently witnessing 3 3-month waiting period nationwide. Mind you, the Kylaq is sold in four variants: Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige.

The Kylaq went on sale earlier this year in January. Since then, it has been growing at a rapid pace as the monthly sales have crossed the 5,000 mark recently. Skoda is preparing new touchpoints across the nation to address its new customers.

As of now, the company has 280 service touchpoints in India, which are bound to grow to 350 by August 2025. With a large network, the company will be able to sell and handle over 8,000 units of Kylaq monthly.

Speaking of the Kylaq, it has recently achieved a 5-star crash test rating. Moreover, it is equipped with a powerful 1.0-litre turbo-petrol 115 bhp engine, which is offered with manual and automatic gearbox options.

While the Kylaq has turned the fortune for Skoda in India, it is subsequently killing the Kushaq SUV sales. A lot of new Kushaq buyers are now optiong for the Kylaq due to its similar design and cabin features, and an affordable price tag.
