Royal Enfield is gearing up to launch the new Guerrilla scrambler motorcycle. Now, Siddhartha Lal, the Managing Director of Eicher as well as the CEO of Royal Enfield, Govindarajan Balakrishnan have posted pictures of the road ready Guerrilla 450 on Royal Enfield’s social media platforms. The brand also revealed that the new Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will be revealed on the 17th of July in Barcelona.
The Guerrilla 450 is a new scrambler motorcycle, based on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. The engine is likely to be the same Sherpa 450 unit, however, expect changes to the gearing which is likely to be specific for road riding over off-roads. However, the Guerrilla is likely to come with equipment that will allow riders to take the motorcycle on trails as well.
Features
According to the images, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is likely to come with a rounded LED headlamp and an offset speedometer cluster. The Guerrilla 450 is also likely to come with a muscular tank design and a scooped single piece seat. The tail section design is also sleek and integrates the tail lamps into the turn indicators. In addition to this, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is likely to come with 17-inch alloy wheels shod in dual sport tyres which are likely to be more road-biased.
Technical Speculations
Powering the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is likely to be the same 452cc liquid-cooled engine from the Himalayan 450, producing 40 PS of power and 40 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox and assist and slip clutch. However, the suspension setup is likely to be new as images reveal a new right-side up front fork along with rubber boots. The bike is also likely to come with a mono shock which is likely to be tuned for the road but also be compliant on trails.
