Continuing its stellar performance, Royal Enfield has posted its sales report for October 2022. As it stands, the motorcycle continued its stellar performance. The company posted a total sales of 82,235 motorcycles in the month of October 2022. This was against 44,133 motorcycles sold during the same month in the previous financial year. Thus the company registered a growth of 86 percent. Royal Enfield exported 5,707 motorcycles during the month as compared to 3,522 during the same period last year, thus marking a growth of 62 percent.
The momentum for demand at the start of the festive season has continued well into this month. In fact, October brought in the highest-ever sales in a month. October was also extra special, as Royal Enfield rolled out the 50,000th Hunter from our production line. Since its launch in August this year, the Hunter has brought more cheer to Royal Enfield, as it continues to sell in huge numbers.
Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 In Works
And ahead of its launch, a test mule of the motorcycle is again on the internet. With just under two weeks to go till for the expected reveal, this latest test mule looks much close to the production-ready. In the previous test mules of the Super Meteo, the motorcycle was quite blacked-out and covered up. But, this latest sighting shows a motorcycle with a lot of silver-finished alloy components, alongside a host of chrome touches across the bike.
The headlight rim, triple clamps, headlight bracket, handlebar risers, and hand levers all feature a silver alloy finish that makes the motorcycle much more appealing. Moreover, the test mule also gets an eccentric and distinctive horseshoe-type mount for the front mudguard. This is very similar to what we saw on the SG650 Concept at EICMA last year.
Expected Price Range
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will most likely use the same 648cc air/oil-cooled parallel-twin motor and could make the same performance as its siblings. We are assuming the Royal Enfield cruiser to come with a price tag of INR 3.35 lakh (ex-showroom). This will make it the most expensive bike from this brand. But interestingly, it will still be much more affordable than the Kawasaki Vulcan S.
