For the first time ever, a Royal Enfield motorcycle has received an ABS setup. The brand has introduced a special edition of the Classic 350 motorcycle which now sports a proper dual-channel ABS, and not a cost-effective single-channel setup. The bikes are now available for a limited numbers only, but soon, all Royal Enfield motorcycles will get ABS.
This special edition version of the Classic 350 is called ‘Classic Signals’. The bike has been priced at INR 1.62 lakh ex-showroom Pune.
These limited edition Classic Signals are built to pay homage to the Indian Air Force & Indian Army with the new livery. These bikes demand a premium of INR 15,000 compared to the standard Classic 350. So that price is justified pretty much with the dual-channel ABS and the new livery.
Powering the bike is the same 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor producing 19.8 HP of power and 28 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed gearbox.
The Classic 350 Classic Signals can be bought in matte blue or matte brown colours, and only at dealerships. The bike features brown seats and comes with saddle bags and a large front windscreen justifying the incremental price tag further. The bike gets engine, exhaust muffler, wheels, handlebar and headlamp surround finished in black instead of chrome. Rear seats will be available as standard.
Obviously, you get front and rear disc brakes on this ABS equipped motorcycle.
