QJ Motor has taken the wraps off its latest electric two-wheeler offering. This is the PV maxi-scooter that was unveiled at EICMA 2022. In this article, we briefly touch upon the key highlights.
What Is The QJ Motor PV?
The QJ Motor PV features a proper maxi-scooter setup. It has a typical central spine along with a wide single-piece seat, a wide handlebar, and a tall transparent visor at the front. The PV also gets a split and quite an aggressive LED headlight with cornering lights integrated into the side panels at the front.
Mechanical Highlights
Powering the PV electric scooter is a 10kW (peak power) motor. QJ uses a lithium-ion battery to power the motor. Although, the company still needs to reveal the battery capacity. But QJ claims that the PV can clock 150 km on a single charge and gets a top speed of 130 kmph. Furthermore, the charging time is five and a half hours for an 80 per cent charge. Key feature highlights include sports LED illumination, a fully digital instrument console, ABS, and an adjustable visor on the feature front.
The PV e-scooter gets telescopic forks for the front. Meanwhile, for the rear, we get dual shocks. The braking power comes from the dual front and a single rear disc with ABS. The equipped alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli Angel tires perfectly match the scooter’s overall characteristics.
Rivals And Other Options
As of now, QJ Motor has confirmed its entry in India. We understand that the chances of PV electric scooters arriving here are quite less. But if launched, the scooter will join the myriad of options available in the current market. This includes options like the Ola S1 range, Ather 450, Bajaj Chetak, and more. Meanwhile, the other maxi-scooters on sale in India are all petrol models – Yamaha Aerox 155 and Keeway Vieste 300.
