In view of the recent appearance of the COVID-19 (CoronaVirus) disease, Polaris in a digital media event launched the Sportsman 570 Tractor in India at an introductory price of INR 7.99 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The Polaris Sportsman 570, in essence, is a full size All Terrain Vehicle but is classified as a tractor for it to be registered and be driven legally on road in India.
The Polaris Sportsman 570 is powered by a 567cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder 4-stroke DOHC engine with electronic fuel injection system and an automatic transmission with a shaft final drive. The powertrain produces 34 hp of power and comes with an on-demand 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive system.
In terms of its mechanical hardware, the Polaris Sportsman 570 features Macpherson strut front suspension with 8.2-inches of travel and dual A-arm independent rear suspension with 9.5-inches of travel and a high ground clearance of 280mm to traverse across tough terrain and fields. The braking system consists of a hydraulically operated lever for the front and hydraulic disc on the rear operated with a foot brake. The Sportsman 570 is also equipped with a lockable hand lever for parking brake function.
The quad comes with a three headlight set up front and rear luggage bed with combined 485 pounds payload capacity, upright handlebar, all-terrain tyres, 2 up seating with a backrest for the rear passenger, 1500 pound towing capacity, factory-installed winch and plough mount plate, factory installed tow hitch receiver, engine braking system and an electric power steering.
The Polaris Sportsman 570 is classified as a tractor and meets all the norm required to be driven legally on the road with an electronically limited speed of 60 kmph. Polaris also provides a one year warranty along with road-side assistance.
The Polaris Sportsman 570 tractor is aimed towards users from the agriculture sector and the vehicle can be attached with agricultural accessories such as a utility cart, disc harrow, pesticide sprayer and cultivator.
