Italian bike manufacturer MV Agusta recently revealed three limited edition Reparto Corse models of its 800cc three-cylinder bikes. The new RC model of the F3 800 brings a few upgrades along with an exclusive livery. As mentioned, the F3 800 Reparto Corse, or RC, is a limited edition bike. MV Agusta will make a total of 200 examples of the supersport machine. Let’s take a close look at the model that seems to make the most sense to sport the Reporte Corse livery.
MV Agusta F3 800 RC – Highlights
Undoubtedly, the sportiest of the new RC range, the F3 800 RC, looks like it belongs on a race track. As the MV Agusta F4 is not available anymore, the F3 800 is also the Italian brand’s flagship supersport machine. Apart from the exclusive Pearl White, Ago Red and Emerald Green livery, the F3 800 RC also gets a few mechanical upgrades.
Like the Dragster RC SCS, the F3 800 RC also gets a titanium nitrate (TiN) coating for its 43 mm Marzocchi upside-down forks. The F3 800 RC’s rear wheel is 10 per cent lighter, which also reduces the moment of inertia by 7 per cent. Meanwhile, the carbon fibre fairing with aerodynamic winglets gives it up to 8 kg of downforce. The bike also comes with CNC rider footpegs and a CNC top triple clamp.
Powering the F3 800 is a 798cc liquid-cooled 12-valve three-cylinder engine. The motor makes 147 HP at 13,000 rpm and 88 Nm of torque at 10,100 rpm. It uses a 6-speed transmission with the MV EAS 3.0 bi-directional quickshifter. Additionally, the F3 800 RC also comes with an optional Racing Kit. The kit includes an Akrapovič full titanium exhaust system with specific maps, a CNC fuel tank cap and a CNC brake and clutch levers. With the Racing Kit, the bike makes 155 HP at 13,250 rpm. The dry weight of the bike also goes down from 173 kg to 165 kg. With the Racing Kit, it goes from 0 to 100 kmph in a claimed 2.97 seconds. Meanwhile, the 0 to 200 kmph sprint takes 8.4 seconds. The top speed of the bike is 240 kmph.
