MG Motor India launched the country’s first Autonomous Level 1 SUV, the MG Gloster. The Gloster was introduced at the price of INR 28.98 lakh ex-showroom except for Kerala. The new post-introductory starting price of the MG Gloster SUV is INR 30.12 lakh ex-showroom, Kerala. Now, MG has delivered seven units of the Gloster in a single day in God’s Own Country.
The MG Gloster in Kerala is priced starting from INR 30.12 lakh ex-showroom for the Super Turbo Diesel 7-seater model, INR 31.69 lakh for the Smart Turbo Diesel 6-seater trim, INR 34.51 lakh for the Sharp Twin Turbo Diesel 6-seater variant, INR 34.21 lakh for the Sharp Twin Turbo Diesel 7-seater trim and INR 35.82 lakh for the Savvy Twin Turbo Diesel 6-seater fully-loaded trim. It is important to note that the ex-showroom prices in the State of Kerala are different from the ex-showroom prices in the rest of India.
The MG Gloster is powered by a BS6 emission-compliant 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged oil burner that produces 163 PS of power and 375 Nm of torque paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission and comes with a 4X2 driveline. The top-end Sharp and Svaay variants are powered by a BS6 compliant 2.0-litre four-cylinder Twin-Turbocharged diesel motor that makes 218 PS of power and 480 Nm of torque matched to an 8-speed automatic transmission and comes with a 4X4 driveline. The Gloster also features a separate rear differential lock button with Borg Warner Transfer Case and Rock, Sand, Mud, Snow driving modes.
India’s first Autonomous Level 1 premium SUV, the MG Gloster is equipped with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Parking Assist, Lane Departure Warning and Critical Tyre Pressure Voice Alert. The 4985mm long, 1926mm wide, 1867mm tall SUV offers a 2+3+2 layout in the 7-seater model as well as a 2+2+2 layout in the 6-seater trim with captain seats. The premium SUV also features LED headlamps with auto levelling, LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, premium leather trim inside the cabin, 3-zone climate control, PM 2.5 filter, i-Smart 2.0 integrated 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment with 70 connected features, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, and more.
