Mercedes-Benz, in a digital world premiere, unveiled the all-new Mercedes-EQ EQT Concept. The new concept study comes in the form of a fully electric small and practical Van. The EQT concept is built on the T-Class, which is an LCV-derived MPV. The Mercedes-Benz EQT concept is targeted towards families and leisure active customers. The fully electric MPV offers seating for seven people and a lot of space.
Design & Styling
The concept EQT features the latest Mercedes-Benz design philosophy called ‘Sensual Purity.’ The concept features a black-out grille with a Mercedes-Benz star pattern and a large Mercedes-Benz logo. The illuminated star pattern also integrates an LED light that wraps the entire front fascia of the vehicle. The concept van also features sleek LED headlights and a sloping bonnet line. The star pattern also appears on the large and aero-optimised 21-inch alloy wheels and the roof lining. The Mercedes-Benz EQT features sliding doors on both sides and a large tailgate and features a panoramic sunroof.
Mercedes-Benz EQT Interiors
The EQT features high-quality interiors with a seating capacity of 7 and the ability to mount three child seats in the second row. The EQT features a multilayered dashboard with an integrated cockpit design and pebble-like shapes that allow for practical storage. The brand is also using sustainable materials on the interiors of the EQT. The van features braided leather upholstery to make the occupants feel at home. The EQT also features the latest generation MBUX infotainment system along with driver assistance features.
Mercedes-Benz EQT Size and Engine Specifications
The Mercedes-Benz EQT measures 4945 mm in length, 1863 mm in width, 1826 mm in height. This allows roomy interior space and a practical boot for a lot of luggage. The spacious boot space also offers enough space for the big weekend shopping trip. Powertrain details on the EQT are scarce at the moment but expect power figures to be in the vicinity of 100 Hp/250 Nm of torque and around 270 km of range, similar to the Kangoo E-Tech Electric.
Mercedes-Benz will position the T-Class below the V-Class, marketing it as a small and practical MPV. The EQT will enter the brand’s small van family in 2022. The brand also reveals that the production-spec model will be very close to the EQT concept vehicle.
