Nearly everything that Maruti Suzuki does becomes a case study for the Indian automobile sector. Another success story from the brand is the introduction of their premium Nexa sales and service outlets. With more than 1 million retail sales via Nexa, Maruti Suzuki is now celebrating 4 years of their premium network. As of date, Maruti Suzuki has 363 Nexa outlets across 206 towns and cities across the country. Maruti Suzuki will reveal a new song to celebrate this success in the coming week.
The first Nexa outlet went public in 2015, with the S-Cross being the first premium car from the brand. The S-Cross still continues in good numbers and the crossover is quite popular. However, with the mid-life facelift, it dropped the 1.6L diesel engine and continued with the 1.3L motor only. This will also be replaced with the in-house 1.5L DDiS 225 diesel engine in due course of time.
Today, Maruti Suzuki retails the Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz and S-Cross via their Nexa dealerships. The brand will soon introduce the XL6 6-seater crossover MPV in the Nexa showrooms. The XL6 is nothing but a rough road friendly version of the Ertiga and will come with a 6-seat / captain seat layout.
Maruti Suzuki reveals that nearly all customers of the Nexa range of cars are under 35 years of age. Almost 70% are first time buyers for Nexa range of cars. Maruti Suzuki grew the Nexa brand really fast with 250+ outlets being introduced within its first 2 years and the outlet count reaching 350+ within 4 years. Maruti Suzuki also introduced Nexa Mobile Terminals in June 2019 for better reach across cities and was first seen in Haryana, Punjab and later in Odisha. Two such mobile terminals covered 10 cities in 45 days along with recording a total of 1000+ customer visits.
