KTM has come up with its 1st international Adventure Tour from 27th May to 8th June 2023. The Upper Mustang Adventure tour is a 13-day activity that starts from Gorakhpur, goes through Kathmandu, Pokhara, Lete, Jomsom, Lo Manthang, Nupra Pass, Samar, Muktinath, Tatopani, back to Pokhara and Gorakhpur.
The sole purpose of this expedition is to improve the off-roading abilities of the riders. With regards to off-roading, the riders will be taken through scenic routes, passes, muddy tracks and trails which have sharp twists and turns. Volunteers of the tour will be appointed in order to guide and train the riders with instructions and support + upgrade the skills of participants and unlock their riding potential.
KTM Pro-XP
KTM Pro-XP is a program that helps engage the owners with a professional riding experience along trails, tracks and tarmac. According to stats, more than 25,000 KTM owners have participated in the Pro XP Program.
This program consists of 7 Adventure tours, 7 rides and 2 track days. The track days offered by KTM is a day-long experience, only planned and designed for Duke and RC owners. On the other hand, Pro Rides is a 4-day expedition under the supervision of trained and certified experts, again only for Duke and RC owners. Lastly, the KTM Adventure tour is a 5-day planned tour for Adventure motorcycle owners only.
What is expected of the riders?
Everyone is advised to carry their own ECE, DOT, ISI, Snell certified helmets, ankle length boots and jeans or riding pants. The riders are also expected to pay for their own fuel, meals and snacks. A campsite, hotel or guesthouse will be provided to the riders who choose to participate and will be provided with meals. Along with a complimentary stay, KTM also includes medical assistance, convoy vehicles and basic first-aid training. Riding gear is not provided by the brand, riders need to carry their own kit.
